Labor Day Weekend

Labor day was created in the late 19th century to celebrate the contributions that workers have made to the strength and well-being of America. Traditionally, many employers offer their employees the day off, giving them a three day weekend. As you enjoy your long weekend, think about the various people who contribute to your way of life, and consider the contributions you make to the lives of people around you through your work. Although the holiday was created to celebrate the American labor movement, we all can benefit from some introspection on the positive things that a happy workforce brings to our country’s way of life. If you get the opportunity, give an extra little kindness to a person who doesn’t find themselves with a day off this weekend. Recognize them and thank them for whatever it is they are doing for you. We share a country and a common goal for our families. Everyone have a happy Labor Day, and enjoy the time with your family and friends!
